    2019 Career Institute

    Open to Grades 7-12

    The 2019 Career Institute will be held July 16-17 from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the Orrin S. Estebo Career Development & Training Center located in the Redwood Valley High School in Redwood Falls, MN.  Each student receives $100 for attending both days!  The Career Institute is FREE to attend.

    This year’s career explorations include Surgical Tech, Dental Assisting, Medical Lab Tech, Energy, Carpentry, Power Sports/Automotive Tech, Law Enforcement, Welding, Plumbing, Vet Tech, Precision Ag/Drones, and Livestock Operations.

    Business Camp Opportunity for 9-12 Graders
    Minnesota Business Venture (MBV), powered by BestPrep, is a week-long summer camp for high school students interested in enhancing communication skills and finding career direction.  9-12th grade students attend sessions led by industry experts and motivational speakers, participate in hands-on activities, and live on a college campus.  Students can attend MBV at the University of St. Thomas (July7-12, 2019) or St. John's University (July21-26, 2019).  MBV gives students a taste of new skills, careers, and opportunities before they graduate in order to prepare them for whatever their future holds.  The cost of the program is $150 for the week which includes room and board ($200 after April 19, 2019).  Applications are accepted on a "first come/first serve" basis.  Financial aid is available.  Online applications are available at www.bestprep.org/mbvapp or hard copies are available in Mrs. DeBerg's office.  Click Here for More Information

    The following colleges will be at Springfield to visit with students and/or parents.  Students and/or parents who wish to visit with these college reps need to sign up with Mrs. DeBerg at least two days before the visit.  Please note that dates and times are subject to change.  Check with Mrs. DeBerg in advance to see if the college in which you are interested is still coming.
