Click on the link above to see a flyer for an event planned for Wednesday, December 13th at Turner Hall in New Ulm from 6-8 PM; Fostering Connectedness For The Prevention of Suicide. "Fostering Connectedness" is the name of the CDC document that was put together as a strategic direction for the prevention of suicide in communities.
Please join multiple agencies from across New Ulm to an evening discussion, learning and healing from recent suicides that have affected our area. The event is also posted on Facebook. If you are interested in attending please indicate that you are “going” in the Facebook Event; “Fostering Connectedness” - so that we have an idea of how many people plan to attend.
The event which is free and open to the public will start at 6 PM with some light appetizers. Then there will be a short introduction followed by 30-45 minutes of small group discussion facilitated by local mental health professionals. CEUs for teachers will be available.Upcoming College RepsThe following colleges will be at Springfield to visit with students and/or parents. Students and/or parents who wish to visit with these college reps need to sign up with Mrs. DeBerg at least two days before the visit. Please note that dates and times are subject to change. Check with Mrs. DeBerg in advance to see if the college in which you are interested is still coming.
